1 travel through (an unfamiliar area) in order to learn about it: he explored the Fontainebleau forest | figurative : LLA_Paris encourages you to explore the world of Paris.
Step away from the beaten path and explore Paris' "other" neighborhoods and museums. During your month in Paris, we will go on five afternoon or evening walks.
The walks will depend on the season and could include an interesting temporary exposition, or a permanent exhibit at a smaller or lesser known museum. There is much more to Paris than the Marais and Latin Quarter. What about the Batignolles, or the Buttes aux Cailles?
The Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay are just the beginning of art in Paris. Come discover the galleries, or the new Fondation Louis Vuitton designed by Frank Gehry or the MEP, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie. If you prefer other, older, cultures, explore the Musée du Quai Branly or the Musée Guimet, which has one of the world's largest collections of Asian art.
A LIfetime Learning Abroad Favorite
I have two favorite excursions: the new excursion and the next excursion. My most recent new excursion was exploring the Fondation Louis Vuitton. (I took the above photo on my visit there a few weeks ago!) My next adventure? I cannot wait to discover the boating floating magical UFO performing arts center, La Seine Musicale.
My advice? Start your list early, it will only lengthen as your time shortens!
Can you see yourself in Paris, yet?
