Study Abroad | Then & Now

Today, so many young people go to college and study abroad. Many of us did not have those opportunities. We can have them now. Times have changed, and so have we. Today Paris is accessible in new ways. Come, now, to Paris and have that study abroad experience you did not have earlier. (Or, maybe it's just time to do it again?)

Live in Paris

Come to Paris. Live here, take a French course at the prestigious Alliance Française and learn how to buy a baguette en français, or even better, learn to bake a baguette in your cooking class, Explore Paris with our cultural excursions (and on your own personal excursions), and make your Paris neighborhood your new home.

Broaden Your Horizons

Expand your comfort zone - all the way to Paris. After a month of studying - of living - in Paris, bring Paris home with you, as new habits and talents and skills. Bring home a new confidence and understanding of yourself and of this, the other eternal city, the City of Light.

Explore with Cultural Excursions

Step off the beaten path and explore Paris' "other" neighborhoods. During your month in Paris, we will go on five afternoon or evening walks.  The walks could include an interesting temporary exposition, or a permanent exhibit at a lesser-known museum.  There is much more to Paris than the Marais and Latin Quarter.  What about the Batignolles, or the Buttes aux Cailles?  The Louvre and the Orsay are just the beginning of art in Paris.

Documenting Paris

The goal of the workshop series is to maximize your Paris experience by teaching you new skills, talents, and knowledge that you can use in Paris. The Documenting Paris workshop series will help you explore Paris, and yourself - simultaneously.  The more you use what you learn in this series, the more you will learn about yourself and Paris.  All of these skills can be applied once you have returned home, too!  Plus, you will have some great creative projects to show your friends and family.

“As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.”
